DORCO for MOVEMBER

2023.11.03

Previously, DORCO introduced the Movember Campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of men's health, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention, and support men to live healthier lives. This article highlights the importance of regular physical check-ups and helps choose a lifestyle that is both physically and mentally healthy.

That said, social expectations and gender stereotypes such as men being in control, taking charge, strong, and successful discourage men from talking about their own physical or mental problems. The reluctance keeps them from seeking help and treatment needed. Generally speaking, men tend to push aside health issues and symptoms, especially when such concerns carry shame. Against this backdrop, the Movember foundation shares 5 tips on how to live a healthy life.

✔ Stay connected

Staying in touch with your close friends and family is great for keeping you on track emotionally. Make time to regularly reach out to people. Listening to what others are saying and sharing their own stories is one of the ways to keep a valuable relationship going.

✔ Stay open-minded

Sometimes you may not have much to say. But when someone goes through difficult times, be ready to listen with an open mind. You need to be supportive and understanding when someone wants to open up.

 Do something physical

Staying active gives energy to the body and mind. Make it a habit to move your body every day, whether that means taking a walk, going to the gym, or doing outdoor activities. Physical activities help let out stress and build a more positive mindset.

 Talk more with your doctor

Men age 50 and older should consider screening for prostate cancer. Screening should start earlier for men, who are of African ancestry or have a history of prostate cancer in their family. Screening is one of the steps to stay healthy.

Be aware of own body conditions

Understand own health conditions and carefully monitor if there is something unusual. If changes are felt or seen, it is important to see a doctor immediately. Self-initiated health care is essential to stay healthy.

If unsightly beard growth is the only thing that is between you and the Movember campaign, try DORCO’s trimmers. A trimmer is a blade attached to the backside of the razor cartridge. Facial contours or wrinkles make some areas unreachable by an ordinary razor. However, the trimmer helps a clean shave in areas, where more detail and precision is required such as sideburns and under the nose. DORCO’s higher-end products including DORCO PACE 6 Pro 3D Motion, DORCO PACE 6 Pro, DORCO PACE 6 Plus, DORCO PACE 5, and DORCO PACE 4 Pro, come with the trimmer.

DORCO Line-Up Razor  for Men can be also used to achieve a more sophisticated look. The trimmer is the ultimate tool for grooming such as dermaplaning for a clean, sharp look anywhere in the face and neck, not just for beard. The unique design makes it easier to trim the mustache line and the outer edges, which are the trickiest areas.

As the slogan “Make It a Good Start” goes, DORCO wants to make a morning shaving routine special, allowing men to reflect on themselves. DORCO’s innovative technologies such as curved blades, lubricating strip, and rubber guard ensure that the razor glides softly over the skin, creating a spa-like comfortable experience. By leading these changes, DORCO has become a brand that understands the importance of relieving stress and taking care of mental health. Was this morning’s shaving special for you? If the answer is no, join DORCO’s journey to something special.
